Dating back to before the War, Buckden Feast and Sport, as it was then known, featured ‘skittles, coconut shies, rolling penny stalls and others plus donkey rides, which went round by Hubberholme and back . . . ‘ * The tradition was revived in 1962, and in 2012, Buckden Gala, as it is now known, celebrated it’s Golden Jubilee.
